計畫介紹

我們將透過探勘英國生物資料庫(UKBB)、台灣生物資料庫(TWBB)和公共數據來研究精準醫療尖端的三個主題。 近年來,生物資料庫的首要突破是群體規模和資料維度的擴大。 UKBB 和 TWBB 提供來自50和20萬受試者的多模式數據(例如基因型、醫學影像和生物分子特徵)和不同性狀 (例如許多遺傳性疾病和癌症)。
藉由這些資源及機器(深度)學習等方法,我們將研究:

  1. 找出辨識黑色素瘤(皮膚癌)病人對免疫治療反應的基因標記
  2. 使用多個生物資料庫預測疾病發生,例如慢性腎臟病的早期檢測標記
  3. 揭示基因型和影像資料特徵與不同表型(例如阿茲海默症)之間的統計關係

ABOUT PROJECT

Our mission is to investigate three topics on the frontier of precision medicine via mining the UK biobank (UKBB), Taiwan Biobank (TWBB) and public data. Recently, a primary breakthrough of biobanks is the expansion of population size and data dimension. The UKBB and TWBB provide multimodal data (e.g., genotypes, medical images, and biomolecular signatures) and diverse phenotypes (e.g., many genetic disorders and cancers) from a cohort of half-million subjects. With this resource, we aim to

  1. Identify gene signature for response to immunotherapy in melanoma
  2. Predict disease occurrence using multiple site biobanks, e.g., chronic kidney disease
  3. Unravel the statistical relations among the features of genotype and imaging data and diverse phenotypes, e.g., Alzheimer’s disease
