Abstract
By all means, recent clinical studies have been empowered by an arsenal of omics technology and platforms, particularly in the exploratory phases. These technology offer high throughput, paralleled assay of multiple genes and proteins on clinical samples with increasing precision and detection limit. On the one hand, omics are useful for the exploration of molecular mechanisms behind complex human physiology and pathology. On the other hand, they can lead toward the discovery of biomarkers and biosignatures for the prediction of disease onset or treatment response, a central theme of personalised medicine. In this talk, I will show the use of various omics for a variety of clinical investigations, including viral infection, diabetes, liver, renal and urinary systems.
