Abstract

In the past decade, we have witnessed the resolution of information technology. Its impact to Statistical research is enormous. This talk attempts to address some important issues which need an immediate attention. Two specific promising areas will be discussed in details, as examples: research in RFID (Radial Frequency IDentification) and research in Search Engines. For each subject the problem will be introduced, some initial results will be presented, and future research problems will be suggested.
