Abstract

Writing a new academic article from nothing to pages could be a struggle for anyone, and it involves not only cognitive but also emotional processes. This workshop will provide you the sufficient guidance for writing an academic article by leading you through the writing process step by step. Key elements like coarse-to-fine drafts, overall structure, the 4Ws, the inside-out procedure, deadline, teamwork, and role of advisors/mentors will be introduced. In addition, some tips about how to organize a PI-based writing course and make writing scientific articles a less stressful routine will also be provided in the hope to help remove the possible obstacles of the writing process. ? ??? Please bring your notebook, along with the article you are writing or planning to write to the workshop. Questions are welcome before, during, or after the workshop. suling@ntu.edu.tw. ?
