Abstract
The status of the art and potential applications of quantum computers will be discussed in this lecture. To this end we will discuss IBM’s roadmap and quantum algorithms with applications in quantum chemistry and optimization. The goal is to position ourselves for better understanding of the hype and probably identify the area where we can make our expertise useful.
