Abstract

The Academic Medicine Program is held by St. Edmund Hall, University of Oxford. The purpose of this program is to support domestic clinical, research and management expertise, to speed up the development of precision health in Taiwan. The lecturers include well-known scholars from Oxford (such as Dr. Dame Sarah Gilbert, Prof. Chas Bountra, Dr. John Davis etc). Totally 20 medical-related courses and 10 lab visiting were held. The training includes three main topics: COVID-19 and lung diseases, brain and neurological diseases, and treatment and response in clinics. In this talk, I will briefly introduce the current frontier medicine studies at Oxford, and compare the research operations in Taiwan and UK. The rigorous atmosphere at Oxford University represents along the training program. From being intimidated to the liberation of the conscious mind, I will share my humble story in Oxford, UK.
