Abstract

The ultimate goal of high-energy physics is to understand the properties of elementary particles and fundamental interactions. To achieve this, we analyze large datasets collected from particle collider experiments and cosmic ray observations. Precise and careful analysis of these data is one of our most important tasks. In this talk, I will briefly introduce high-energy physics experiments and explain how we conduct data analysis, as well as the challenges we face in dealing with big data.
