Abstract
As precision medicine advances, polygenic risk scores have emerged as a powerful tool to stratify genetic risk for complex diseases, including cancer. This talk will explore how PRS can help identify individuals at higher risk for prostate, lung, and breast cancers, enabling earlier intervention and more targeted care. Drawing from recent studies in Taiwan and international cohorts, I will illustrate how PRS and genetic variants improves risk prediction—especially for aggressive or early-onset prostate cancer, and how combining PRS with clinical risk factors enhances lung and breast cancer screening strategies. Ultimately, this presentation will highlight the path from genomic discovery to clinical action, and how PRS can support more personalized, preventive, and equitable cancer care in real-world settings.
